Learn how to navigate the complex and evolving requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). With the PPWR set to apply from 12 August 2026, and transitional obligations already in motion, concerned companies must prepare for compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic adaptation.

The session will address the full legal lifecycle of packaging, from design and recyclability to extended producer responsibility (EPR), labelling, and reporting. We will explain the scope and structure of the PPWR, including key changes from the previous Directive (94/62/EC). We will also explore the regulation's broader implications for sustainability and supply chain transparency and interplay with the legislation governing chemicals and food contact materials.

Participants will gain insights into the legal obligations for manufacturers, importers, distributors, and online retailers under the new regulation, as well as an understanding of the timeline for compliance and phased implementation of requirements such as recyclability and digital labelling, and likely enforcement measures.
