BESKRIVNING

The EU has established an ambitious and interconnected web of digital regulatory schemes spanning artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data governance, and platform oversight. Understanding how these instruments relate to one another is essential for effective compliance and strategic planning in today’s digital economy.

This session provides a structured overview of the EU’s central digital regulatory frameworks, examining how the AI Act, NIS2 Directive, Cyber Resilience Act, GDPR, Data Act, Data Governance Act, Digital Services Act, and Digital Markets Act interact and complement each other.

We will explore the critical relationships between these regulations, identifying where lex specialis provisions override general rules, where frameworks overlap, and where they create complementary obligations for organisations subject to multiple regulations simultaneously.

The presentation will map out the regulatory landscape systematically, highlighting roles and responsibilities across different actor categories, from providers and deployers to intermediaries and platform operators, through practical scenarios where understanding these interconnections becomes crucial for compliance.

By the end of this session, participants will have a clear understanding of the EU's digital regulatory ecosystem that enables them to identify applicable requirements, anticipate compliance challenges, and develop coherent strategies addressing the full spectrum of digital obligations.
